Our program offers a wide variety of educational experiences for children from ages 3-5. We licensed with Interior Health and opened the doors at Beattie Elementary in September of 2003. After our first year there we re-located to Pacific Way Elementary and taught preschool there for five years. It was due to strong growth in the Aberdeen community that brought us to our new location nestled at the top of Monarch Court (just off of Gleneagles Dr) in Summit Elementary. Here, we are more centrally located for our families and are only 6 minutes driving distance from our previous location. We provide preschool to families from all over the kamloops area, which include Aberdeen, Dufferin, Pineview Valley, Sahali, Downtown, Valleyview, Juniper, Dallas, Bachelor Heights and Westsyde as well as outlying rural areas. At Creative Beginnings Preschool your child will have freedom to explore in a prepared environment through child-directed sensorial learning experiences by teaching themselves through hands on experiences, natural curiosity and love for knowledge. Here, we focus on the social, intellectual, physical, linguistic and emotional needs of your child. Although we do offer theme-based learning, we also have a strong academic program that teaches phonetics, number and letter recognition, math, science, socials, language, geography, art exploration and more. Students in our program are encouraged to become compassionate and caring towards others and the environment around them, while developing skills, self-esteem and confidence. We are an approved facility for practicum sponsoring for both TRU and Northern Lights College Early Childhood Education Programs and offer mentoring and guidance for students in their first, second and third practicums. ___________________________________________________ Daily Schedule 8:45-10:00am Indoor Freeschoice Activities 10:00-10:30am Snack 10:30-10:45am Outdoor Play 10:45-11:15am Group Time ______________________________ 11:30-12:45pm Indoor Freechoice Activities 12:45-1:15pm Snack 1:15-1:30pm Outdoor Play 1:30-2:00pm Group Time __________________________________________________ Outdoor play includes games, playground equipment, outdoor toys that all focus on the large motor development. Snack is provided by the parents and should meet Canada's Food Guide. We do however, allow shared snack during our parties when parents may sign up for specific snack items to share with the group. Group time is a learning time for the children as a group. We focus on the calendar (months of the year, days of the week, counting and number recognition), theme material (discussions, stories, songs and finger plays), movement, games, phonics and letter recognition. ![]() |
